Re: FTTC modem dropping packets?

Thanks for the link.
Would be nice if they specified which of the two different makes of BT fibre modems are affected.

Re: FTTC modem dropping packets?

Saw there was a further update on the link believing BT's latest update to FTTC modems is causing the issue on this basis and the picture shown on the link to the webpage http://revk.www.me.uk/ ; it looks like the HG612.  It also says BT is working on this.
Has PlusNet heard of this issue ?

Not before now, no - at least not to my knowledge. Not seen many reports of VPN issues either. At least we're aware of it now though, we'll have to see how it pans out I guess.

Re: FTTC modem dropping packets?

You hadn't heard of it? Surely you had as a result of the regular bulletins that BT send to all ISPs to keep them informed of any current issues!

Seems to be the Huawei ones - http://revk.www.me.uk/2013/11/bt-huawei-fttc-modem-bug-breaking-vpns.html
I've got an ECI one and have noticed any issues with the 2 VPNs I have running.
