Supposed to get Plusnet install today - had email from them to say Openreach engineer will visit to install.
So I rang them to find out if it was AM or PM. They said neither as there is a problem...
"Please be advised your order has been delayed due to VLAN/Cable Link not being completed. We apologise for the Delay in Progressing your Order."
Anyone else had this issue? Any ideas on likely delay?
I have a review date of 30th July but no idea if that is a realistic timeframe.

Hi petehawdon,
It looks as though there's been a delay in getting some of the work completed for an FTTC service. Our provisioning Team will keep an eye on this and if this date changes, we'll let you know ASAP.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused.

OK and thanks for the swift response.
Is this usual?
Seems strange to accept orders and take payments yet not have the infrastructure in place..?

It's not overly common, no.
We make FTTC available to our customers based on the information that our suppliers provide us with. From time to time there can be delays and our suppliers will then remove FTTC availability, but they will keep hold of the orders that have been placed as they will be the first to be provisioned.

We've got a committed date from our suppliers for 06/08/2014 - AM slot (8am-1pm).
Our Provisioning Team will check this again though to ensure this remains.
