FTTC Advice

Had a fault on my PSTN today, and a very helpful Openreach man came to fix it.
In conversation he mentioned that FTTC was not far away here. Apparently fibres have been laid and new green boxes are beginning to appear. Now my Exchange WNBG has no live date visible anywhere, but I was assured it could only be months!
I'm anxious to move as soon as it is available. I could probably throw and hit my existing cabinet with a stone, but I won't, so just under 40 Megs seems likely Smiley I'm presently grappling with circa 2.5 Megs. Sad
Is there a waiting or advisory list in operation within Plus Net, so I get told, or an order is placed, as soon as the FTTC service is available to me?
If so how do I get my name on it?
Regards

Re: FTTC Advice

You won't automagically get upgraded to it when/if it becomes available, and as far as I know PN don't notify all current customers when their line goes FTTC-capable. (Though I could be wrong.)  Crazy
The latest Openreach spreedsheet I could find, from 01/11/12 (https://www.btwholesale.com/.../WBC_SFBB_Dataset_20121101.xls)  doesn't currently give a date as to when that might be for your exchange, and dates usually appear a good while in advance.  Sad Maybe someone has more up to date information though.
