Re: FFTC speed dropped from 74Mbps to 48Mbps - Now dropped to 18Mbps! [fixed?...]

Thanks Chris, worse again today. The BTW test is coming in at 13.89/14.68 (upload is faster than download now!), and my IP profile has dropped to 14/20 (again upload faster than download).
TBB is testing at 13.7 down / 17.11 up.
Overnight there were lots of dropped packets...

Since BT completed work on Friday my IP profile has been at 77Mbps, but PlusNet have a limit set of 21Mbps, which is what I see on my speed tests.

Hi mcrossley,
Just bumped that up for you, hope it makes a difference - glad the speed's improved on the supplier side for you as well. Please let us know if that doesn't help, or if there's anything else we can do for you.

Matt, thanks, logged out/in and the speed is now up to 61Mbps, let's see if it maintains that now...

Re: FFTC speed dropped from 74Mbps to 48Mbps [fixed?...Nope, now 13Mbps]

An unexpected BTOR engineer visit on Thursday. He found a fault with the exchange side line (capacitive disconnect?) and swapped me on to the best exchange pair he could find. The other 'problem' he found was the AC balance was low at 50 (should be 55+), he arranged for some work and managed to get this up to 54.
The BTOR plugin tester now shows the line has the capability of 79.4/24.2 Mbps. It then speed tested at 71/17, and remained like that Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
Just looked at it again this morning (after heavy rain overnight), and the speed test is now 15/17 (downstream slower than upstream again!). The BTW speed test came up in red (15.2/14.9), and suggested I progress to test 3 (logging in to the BT speedtest gateway). I did that and it tested at (14.8/0.01 !!)
The ping test shows some dropped packets on Saturday (router is left on 24/7, and no manual logout/in performed).

@mcrossley
I can see that this has been escalated by our faults team for you now so that should get things moving a little quicker hopefully.
