In my hunt for missing green cabinets I have found what look like new access points. I presume these access points are like cabinets only underground so I wonder why it's not possible to connect fibre cabinets to these access points.

HI George,
There may not be enough room for the equipment or a way to feed the power to it. There has to be enough users connected to it also. If FTTC isn't available via that method then there is a possibility that they may enable FTTP instead.

I discovered a new rather large access point which I think serves what must be a couple of hundred houses this end of the estate. It's on the corner of side road close to street lights. The problem with FTTP around here is the cables to individual houses appears to be just laid in the ground rather than ducting. When I had a fault a few years back the cable was in a green in front of my house just buried in the ground.
