Same 5 min delay again between DSL sync & PPP connection.???
DSL
Uptime: 0 days, 0:05:57
------------------------------------------- ( 5 min difference)
PPP
type: PPPoE
Uptime: 0 days, 0:00:14
Still heard nothing for a few days from Openreach or CSC on the main line fault.
so maybe time for a nudge on the ticket and highlighting this 5 min PPP issue again ....

Having read this thread it looks like this is almost identical to the fault on my own line. I've noticed just now that the higher tones of my connection are also much lower than the rest - this wasn't the case the last time I looked. Ticket ID: 32060215 see also - Trees fouling BT line in the ADSL2+ Forum. Unfortunately BT haven't been making the same kind of positive noises about the way to resolve my fault - instead I've been dumped onto a banded profile - sync speed 6656 Kbps with an SNR margin of 21.5 dB. I'm not prepared to accept this as a solution though - it doesn't address any physical or electronic causes of the fault.
