Update:No improvements unfortunately, speeds have gotten worse to the point where we just don't bother using the WiFi anymore and result to using 4g instead.

I am hoping that the engineer coming in 2 weeks time can put us out of our misery but I will looking to get a refund for basically two months worth of unusable broadband. This has not been a good experience at all I must say.

The engineer was able to successfully fix our fault after finding numerous serious faults on our line by installing a new master socket. We are thankful that it is now fixed but will be wanting a refund for the approximate 2 month period for which our internet was down and unusable. We would like this to be looked at.
