For me depends on DNS servers I use as to what loads, with PN and opendns nothing but here and youtube.  With googles 8.8.8.8 Iplayer and twitter work but lots of other sites/games still fail to work

Yeah I just changed to google DNS and can get BBC.co.uk now but no longer get facebook. I don't know what the hell is going on!

Re: Extraordinary internet problems

Yep, for some reason some of the most popular sites are coming back with "Server Not Found" messages. These include
http://www.google.co.uk/
https://gate.eveonline.com/
https://www.gov.uk/
http://www.bbc.co.uk/
http://www.imgur.com/
http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/
https://forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum
These were all loading and working just fine a few hours ago and nothing has changed at my end in regards to the router or PC settings and all the lights on my router are normal across the board.  Strangely though, certain other sites seem to work fine, like here
I can't fire up GW2 or EVE though as they sits there on their respectiveloaders throwing up connection errors.

Re: Extraordinary internet problems

I did a search on Bing to see how many other users are involved and not getting any hits.
Let's be careful out there !

Re: Extraordinary internet problems

What's bugging me is that I can't log-in to play EVE, a game that I pay to play.  Will Plusnet be offering any form of compensation for time lost?

Angry
I was in the process of writing a long post when everything stopped for me about 45 minutes ago.  So much for getting up early to get some studying done.

Re: Extraordinary internet problems

Same here, very weird, same on my phone and laptop. Tried resetting the router etc but no luck.
Weird thing is, Facebook and gmail are more or less working, others at random are not. Tried searching twitter for info but it won't load. Neither will iPlayer (I was gonna watch Bake Off haha).
This is very peculiar, never experienced a selective internet failure before. Maybe the bugs don't like Bake Off?

Re: Extraordinary internet problems

Still got the same problem.
I am running Windows 10 and had not modified my DNS settings as I usually do.  Making the IP address of my router the primary DNS and Google's DNS server 8.8.8.8 the secondary has made things much better; I don't think I have had any problems since doing this.

Re: Extraordinary internet problems

ditto here - DNC has been 80% failing since the early hours.
setting router DNS to 8.8.8.8 does alleviate a bit.
saw nothing on support pages about it.
