Expose dynamic IP in portal plus net

It would be useful if the current dynamic IP could be discovered remotely having logged in to the plus net portal - eg under connection settings.
Is that available somewhere in the portal ?  Or maybe it could be added ?
We use a basic plusnet broadband for remote webcam at a club house -- the dynamic IP seems to change very regularly, dyndns normally works -- but for the cases when it has failed it would be helpful to lookup the current IP remotely via the web portal.
Alternatively, from email headers it is clear the IP is known to the PN DNS under username.plus.com but this does not seem to be exposed externally.
Perhaps this is deliberate, or maybe there is some DNS trick going to a specific DNS server to workaround that ?
Also is it normal for the dynamic IP to change so regularly ?
The connection seems basically reliable - router is PN provided TG582N.
Thanks

Re: Expose dynamic IP in portal plus net

The dynamic IP changes whenever the router loses its PPP connection - not necessarily a resync with the exchange although that normally does also lose the PPP session
Is somebody switching off the router

Re: Expose dynamic IP in portal plus net

Given what you describe for the usage isn't paying the £5 for a fixed IP the obvious solution?

Not when you have to move from essentials to unlimited to get it
