Re: Error on Plusnet home page (see attached image)

Do not confuse "8 out of 10 users" with "8 out of 10 users of the forums" - they are not the same.  I suggest that the vast majority of happy PN users never come anywhere near the forums.

it is necessary to check the 'dagger' symbol which should qualify the claim (sorry cannot find the right symbol right now)

Re: Error on Plusnet home page (see attached image)

Update
Found the qualifying  statement on the same home page:
† - 79% of customers would recommend Plusnet to a friend - uSwitch Customer Satisfaction Survey 2009.

If that's true (I would assume it is) then the claim is valid as it is adequately qualified.
Sorry Jelv, even as a major (and well respected) contributor on the forum, you might just happen to be in the other 20%.
Recent issues may have changed things but it is likely that most (non-technical) users are just happy enough if the internet works.,
I accept your point though.

Re: Error on Plusnet home page (see attached image)

In the most recent Which survey of members, the customer satisfaction for Plusnet was around 67%. This was way ahead of most of the major ISPs but the ISPs next above scored 80%+.
One of the benefits of short contracts is a greater proportion of satisfied customers. Dissatified customers soon become ex-customers. If anything the return to "no contract" offerings should improve Plusnet's ratings.
