I can now get webmail using a PC - but my blackberry!
Blackberry has been down some time. Any reasons why?

There shouldn't be any difference TBH. The changes that broke everything this morning have been rolled back (there's a possibility we'll be attempting them again tomorrow morning though).

Re: Email not working

Have I got a different problem with the blackberry then?
I still cannot access my webmail using it.

Re: Email not working

You definitely have a problem at your end. Have you tried resetting the passwords or deleting and recreating the email accounts on the blackberry?

Re: Email not working

Yes. And I have tried a different blackberry. Each time it says I must log in to use the service. Yet I can access webmail on a different mobile device and on a PC.

Outlook Express today Wednesday

Hi
Have put in question to support but they seem to be snowed under and I wondered if anyone on here can help
First thing this morning I had no access to email - no OE and Webmail not functioning.  Looked at Service Announcements and left it until normal service resumed.
Webmail now seems to be functioning ok but now no Outlook.  It loads ok but when I try to send or receive, a pop-up appears telling me I need to log in to access mail.plus.net.  My username is there and a password although I have no idea what it is - the memory box is ticked but not accessible.  The error codes are 0800CCC90 and 0800CCC92.
I have no idea where tog o from here - can anyone help please?
Many thanks if so.

Cannot send emails

Hi,
I can receive emails but cannot send. A menu appears asking for my password on plus.net and when I type it in it immediately reappears.
I am sure there is nothing wrong at my end, so what is happening, please.

Re: Email not working

Okay, this is weird.
I've just set up my plus.com email account in Outlook to be polled every minute.
I'll let you know if I get the same.  I'm concerned how many are seeing this, but CSC aren't seeing it.

Re: Email not working

We've also seen a posting on here from someone who was having the same problem who deleted and recreated the Outlook account and all was well.
My guess is that Outlook has forgotten the password after the failed login attempts so resetting the password would be my first try before going as far as delete/recreate (I had the forgotten password problem with Thunderbird).

That sounds like a possibility.

Re: Email not working

Many thanks for help offered - have managed to get Outlook working by fiddling with the password - still not sure exactly how though!
I agree with earlier comments re Service announcements and I still haven't had a reply from support - no need now of course so closed question.
Thought the Feedback survey was a bit rubbish.  No possibility of saying I'd had no reply at all Smiley
