Effect of Firefox upgrade

Firefox just upgraded to version 14.0.1 and I immediately noticed that sites were opening much quicker.
Does anyone else see this or is it a coincidence

Hadn't really noticed loading faster. Certainly not slower though.

@Oldjim
I went from 9 to Waterfox 13..Performance improved 10 fold!.
Assuming you have a 64bit cpu you should try Waterfox Smiley http://waterfoxproject.org/

Re: Effect of Firefox upgrade

Fedora Linux users already get a 64bit version supplied by the distribution.
Linux users could fairly easily compile their own copy of Firefox specifying whatever compiler optimizations they want, but it's really not worth it.
Reading the Waterfox FAQ, it's probably best on Intel CPUs.

Re: Effect of Firefox upgrade

@rongtw
That isn't down to the browser, that's because the Battleblog plugin is 32bit only.
Because I point blank refuse to use Chrome or IE at home, I use Pale Moon 32bit (http://www.palemoon.org/) just for the Battleblog browser and Waterfox for everything else.
