Drop in speed

Approximately 3 days ago my download speed dropped from my usual 6.5MB to a steady 2MB and hasn't returned since.
I've tried to check my IP Profile to see if it's dropped for some reason, but every time I run the BT checker I get the following message:
---
The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

Re: Drop in speed

The BT Speedtester is broken for quite a number of us.
Can you post the stats from your router?

Re: Drop in speed

Hi maphisto2000,
Both your BT and PN profile are showing a 7150k profile. If you are still seeing the reduced speeds then have a look here for some help.

I think it may be a problem with my router as recently it's done a few strange things like not allowing any wireless conectivity until a restart and losing the settings for my fixed IP devices.
That said - In the next two weeks I'll unfortunately be closing my plus.net account as I'm moving house. My new property is in a virgin fibre area so I've opted to give their 50mb service a go.

Re: Drop in speed

Sorry to see you go but 50Mbps is quite a temptation I suppose. Smiley
