Hi, hope someone can help?
Over the last few weeks my internet has been dreadful, with constant slow speeds (and one the PS3, constant sign outs). I've given it a chance, thinking maybe somethings going on at PlusNet and it'll get sorted.. At some points I've been way below 1mg!
Anyway, as nothing has changed, I thought I'd do some proper tests.
These are the test results from the BT speed tester:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 10722 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 4000-21000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :15996 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 444 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 13000 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 21.69:25.37:52.94 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.
Here's the result from Speedtest.net:
As you can see, the two are very very different, and considering I'm paying for a 'Gaming' package, the Ping is laughable it's that bad!
Come someone look into this please? Oh, and nothing has changed at my end since signing up with you. I did post about this sometime ago, and also sent a ticket, but had no replies to either.
Here's my Router stats by the way:
Type
Status No Defect
Downstream Upstream
15997 446
Noise margin (dB)
3.3 22.0
Output power (dBm)
23.3 12.2
Attenuation (dB)
30.5 16.0
Hope someone can help?
Thanks,
Craig
