I was unware of the move until it had happened and things are not looking too good at the moment!

it will start a new initialisation period but will take over the settings from the previous connection.

Thanks for the update.
After my connection had been stable for 12 days, I was just about to request a target SRM reset to 6dB.
But as luck(?) would have it, my connection was moved from ADSL on 20CN to ADSL2 on ??CN in the early hours of day 13.
This connection has been stable for almost 2 days now, so a target SNM reset may still be appropriate. Observed SNM has been between 8dB and 10.5dB.
Given the choice, I would prefer higher speed to stability. (My line was fine on 6dB for about 12 months and stability was not an issue during most of that time).
Any views / advice?

Sadly the DLM works the opposite way.

I agree about DLM. But that does not prevent the Target SNM being reset to 6dB as happened once for me some 14 months ago and for countless other people that have posted on the Forum. I just think it's worth another try.

Sure, once the ten days is up and the line has been stable I'll look at resetting it to 6dB. Give me a nudge at the time to remind me.

My line is reported as being 'quite solid'
Quote from: _Adam_Walker_ From our point of view the line was actually quite solid after the change to ADSL2+ (about 5 days in total)
So I think my line has more to offer and the time is right to test that hypothesis by resetting the target noise margin to 6dB.
I hope you agree.

Can you post the result of a BT speed test for me? I've just run some checks and it's 8dB at the moment, which is good for the line length. If the BT profile has increased now I can set ours so you get the higher speed.

When will you be resetting the target noise margin to 6dB? Soon I hope!
