Does PN throttle speed in evenings?

I'm synched at about 19 meg and download speed for the last couple of hours has been between 4 and 5 meg. Upload is fine but download is pretty bad.

I've used a couple of different speedtest apps. and the results are literally the same.

Seems ok now. And I'm not on fibre. Would my not being on it make any difference?

To answer your question, no we don't. It is possible that your exchange is congested at peak times though, if you continue to see slow speeds at certain times I'd advise getting this reported in to us at https://faults.plus.net

Thanks Chris. And yes, you're probably right about the congestion. Thankfully it didn't last for long and everything was back to normal quite quickly.
