Quick question (cause i'm a little anouyed ) on my outstanding ticket i was told once they see a steady constant connection they will request BT to lower my target snr to 9 , i had a responce from another CSC agent saying i will have to wait untill BT system updates , what one is correct , perhaps they need to read the entire ticket to see that it was agreed to request an snr chage to BTw.

Technically both answers are correct.
The SNR margin is designed to recalculate after 30 days of stability. Sometimes that even happens!
However, we can also manually request the change in target SNR ourselves.
I'm a little annoyed too. I've had an argument with our printer already 😛

If you drop me a PM later on I'll try and get it raised for you.
I'm really frantic today I'm afraid though

Keith's already given BT a ring for you. He's had your fault passed back to diagnostic team explicitly asking for a change in target SNR.

To hijack this thread slightly,
If a reduce my noise margin, with a program like DMT from say 9dB to 6dB and the line is very stable
will BT reduce my un-DMT'd noise margin after a month or two?

I really can't commit to much more than that. I'd say if you were getting a stable speed on 6dB over a period of time, to raise a ticket to get us to do it manually.
