Not sure what happened but for some reason i have had a few dropouts over the last few days and now my BT profile is at it's lowest ever since having fibre.
When i first signed up i had a BT profile of around 43Mbps but this seemed to drop and stick around 33 to 38Mbps so about a week or so ago i decided to downgrade to the 40/20 package.
Since downgrading my profile jumped back up to 38Mbps but now it's droped to this.

Hi Steveuk,
Sorry to hear you're having issues with the speeds.
After having a good look around your account I can see that your current profile is set to 31200 which seems to match up with the profile on BT's side. It's quite common for people to see reductions in speed as more people take up Fibre in the same area when connecting to the same cabinet as yourself. This introduces what's know as Crosstalk which can have a negative impact on speeds for everyone on the same cabinet and could be what you're seeing here.
Has Fibre on recently been introduced to the area?
A quick check of the estimated speed ranges for your line here shows that you should be seeing anything from 25mbps up to 51mbps dependant on the status of the line.
Can you conform that the speed tests you run before have been completed on a wired or wireless connection?
Have you noticed anything change recently with regards to the line, any noise when you make or receive calls at all? From looking at the connection logs below it doesn't appear that there have been any excessive disconnections or reboots of the modem which could cause the drop in speed.

The testing I ran didn't pick anything up by way of major issues that could be causing the issue so at this stage I don't think raising a fault would bring many benefits.

Fibre has been in my area for a long time now as far as i know and i have had fibre with plusnet for at least 2 years as far as i know.
All speed tests i run are done from a wired connection and i am the only user of a pc in the house and none of the other family use wireless.
Before we joined plusnet i had the phone line fixed and moved to this room i am typing from, the modem is right next to the vdsl faceplate and my pc is basicly next to that with the router connected my lan.
I have not noticed any issues with the phone side of things and can't hear any noise on the line.
Not sure if this info helps but before my profile droped i noticed my router disconnet but i did not see the modem disconnect and before the profile drop the BT test was saying my profile was 38.7Mbps and if i remember right the plusnet side said 37.8Mbps, also before the odd few dropouts i was getting the normal results for a 38.7Mbps profile

Hi steveuk,
As fibre's been in the area for a while it means there's less of a chance for an uptake in the service affecting your speeds to that degree so with that in mind you might want to raise a fault: http://faults.plus.net
