Every so often CSC need to do a "dial test" on an account. This requires the customer to disconnect so that CSC can connect as the customer using their login details on a test line in CSC. It usually happens overnight.
Last night one was supposed to happen on my account. It sort of did but not to get the desired result. They tested on @plusdsl.net but not on RIN @plusdsl2.net which as I have reported the problem only occurs on RIN wasn't that helpful!
The reason they did this? CSC haven't got a test line with the RIN domain enabled!

There are other test lines. Part of the reason why there isn't a RIN realm on the CSC test line is that we're only able to have a limited number of realms on any given line and we need to have the realms for all of our other vISPs.
The tickets now with networks who should be able to advise upon further testing and hopefully sort out the issue for you.
