Hi,
I have foolishly gone over my data transfer allowance in my first month with PlusNet and will not have the billing month reset until 16th December. However, I intend to use more than 8GB a month regularly so I will upgrade for the 75p more per month.
If I upgrade today, will the line speed be restored for this billing month or will restrictions continue until the 16th?

I think it should be - it might take a disconnect/reconnect to take effect.

Hi there,
A reboot should put you on to the usual service offer.
Have you done this yet? If so, are you still seeing slow speeds?

Rebooting the router will override the line speed restrictions? I've not tried that yet, I'll give it a go this evening.

When the policy applied to your account is changed, it sometimes isn't picked up until you disconnect and reconnect when it picks up the current settings.

Yup.
If our service offer has changed since your last reboot, you may need to reboot to see if it improves the situation.
