Re: DVR Problems.

It looks to be a problem with your dynamic dns.
You could use an alternative ddns provider, such as a free account from http://www.noip.com/ .
This provider can be setup in the TG582n routers GUI and will work along side your existing ddns.

Re: DVR Problems.

I've set up a no-ip account & enabled it in the DVR.
However it's not updating my ip address, when I look at my no-ip account or ping the host name it shows my previous one, 84.x.x.x & not the current one 146.x.x.x.

Re: DVR Problems.

You have to tell it your ip address periodically.
A Linux user would use a cron job.  Cheesy

Re: DVR Problems.

It works! Which pretty well confirms the Swann DDNS servers are down. Just hope that no-ip keeps track of any changes of my public ip address that might occur.

Re: DVR Problems.

You could always lash out a fiver and get a static IP address instead.

Re: DVR Problems.

Although I have set up a no-ip account it looks like the swanndvr server is back up.
At least I now have a backup if there are any more issues even if it is just a case of elimination.
