Re: DSL keeps disconnecting

Yes Chris. There is still noise with the router disconnected.  The router is already a replacement from the last time I had this issue.

Re: DSL keeps disconnecting

Hi,
I've escalated your Ticket directly our Faults Team for further investigation. (Ticket: 82863911).
Doing an SNR Reset won't fix anything, it could cause the connection to drop more frequently so it'd be much better if we can identify the root cause which our Faults Team will do for you.

Re: DSL keeps disconnecting

Chris I had an engineer visit today. The line was still noisy and looked into. There was a cable fault and a new pair was used in a cable length. According to the engineer everything tested ok.  However I am still have internet issues and dropped connections.  The phone has intermittent noise but especially at the initial connection of dial tone.
I also had to use my BT Hub 4 to get back on after the last drop.  Not sure if the PP hub is faulty or not. I will try it again if things stabilise on the Hub 4
.
Could not get connected last night and lost dial tone when router was connected.  Managed eventually to get on line ine the morning after doing a factory reset on the PP router.  Still noise on line even with router unplugged and connected to test socket.

Re: DSL keeps disconnecting

Thanks for letting me know.
When would you be available for a further engineer to visit? We need to get this noise on the phone line issue sorted out for you.
If you could let me know ASAP I'll get one booked in for you. Unfortunately we've no weekend appointments available in your area at the moment.

Re: DSL keeps disconnecting

Thanks Chris. It will have to be Monday at the earliest.  Just done a quiet line test and there is still noise and my broadband went off.  About 11:50. Using test socket.
