I cannot connect to broadband. DSL down. Broadband light flashing on the router; internet light out ..... and it has been like that for over 2 hours. Lucky I still have Pentium 1 and Win98 that works direct off a 'phone line, otherwise I would not be able to contact you at all.

Really sorry to hear you've lost connection.
We've ran a test and can see that you've lost sync. Can you raise us a fault here: http://faults.plus.net so that our Faults team can raise this to our suppliers?
Hopefully this will be resolved for you soon.

That link does not bring up the required page and with 56k modem I am not surprized. You raise the fault please! What would you have done if I did not have an old computer and could not contact you at all? Well! Do that now and asap, please!

Just to let you know that the BT engineer has been and I have Internet connection again. Aparently, they did some work on fibre broadband last Thursday I was wrongly connected to that. The engineer described it as a "self-inflicted" fault.
