After a week without a working telephone line since the storm on Monday 28th October, I now need the banding removed.

Re: DLM reset / banding removal required

Hi ejs,
I've submitted an SNR reset for you which should remove the banding, though it doesn't look like it's been stable for that long:

Hope it all goes smoothly, should take effect before lunch.

Re: DLM reset / banding removal required

I see the banding has been sucessfully removed:
[tt]US Connection Rate:    804    DS Connection Rate:    3750
DS Line Attenuation:    58.2    DS Margin:              5.9
US Line Attenuation:    36.5    US Margin:              5.6
[/tt]
The BT engineer fixed the telephone line yesterday. I'm told it was fixed by disconnecting (in the BT66 junction box outside) the wiring for an unused socket . And it's not even the first time that the voice line has died and BT have visited to re-do the wiring in that box this year. Anyway, it should be fine for now, thank you.

Re: DLM reset / banding removal required

And now of course at 18:30 the IP profile update happens at Plusnet and somewhat unhelpfully sets the speed to 0.2 Mb.

Re: DLM reset / banding removal required

Hi ejs,
The profile updated on our systems to reflect another change in the BT profile.
That seems to follow a resynch at around 18:30

I'll try another SNR reset for you as we've seen a period of stability (again not that long) if that doesn't resolve things within the next few hours you'd be best off raising a fault: http://faults.plus.net

Re: DLM reset / banding removal required

There was no resync at 18:30 - see attached graphs - the reconnect at 18:30 on your graph was just the IP profile updating on your system to 0.2.
This reminds me of the old days, when the sync speed might increase before a few days old lower IP profile eventually changes on your system.

Re: DLM reset / banding removal required

I've just updated the profile for you as the sync speeds appear to be holding out fine.
It'll take a few days for the DLM information on our suppliers systems to update so that we can see whether or not the line has improved.
