Could some please look at my profile ?

Hi
just checked my sync etc and router data rate has gone up 8020, but have lost a meg of my download speed ... everything has been solid as rock for over 5 days and i was expecting an increase in speed if anything ... checked router log and there are a whole host of ppp Events ... which all correspond to me plugging my phone in to make some calls  ..( phone is not usually plugged in) as i dont use it regularly .
is possible to do something to bring my speed back up to were it should be /was  . SNR Huh
Thanks

Re: Could some please look at my profile ?

thats not really relevent as my speed has been pretty much over the estimated speed since the line finished training  , and has been closer to max shown in my earlier post , ideally i think my line could do with a re training period if there is such a thing

Re: Could some please look at my profile ?

Just read your post again - properly this time - and you really need to get the problem with the phone sorted as it could be indicative of something seriously wrong.
Have you tried a different filter
the fact that the IP profile hasn't increased immediately could indicate a profile mismatch within the BT systems or, just possibly as I may be talking rubbish, that the system has capped the IP profile because of the high number of drops in PPP

Re: Could some please look at my profile ?

again the phone is irrelevent ..  i only plug the filters etc in when i want to use it ... so  this time i have left the filter in ... i just want my speed back to at least were it was

Re: Could some please look at my profile ?

it isn't if it is causing a problem with the line - you need to get it fixed
Anyway I will let you get on with trying to get the BT profile changed

Re: Could some please look at my profile ?

Hi waynem,
I've adjusted your line profile to according to your sync speed so you should now see an improvement with your speeds.
It certainly looks like your line is stable since we last work. How are things your end?

A duff phone can mess up your broadband and the affect can persist long after the phone unplugged!

Hi Chris
well that went a bit mental ..Disconnected from my router using  interface , powered off for a minute or 2  , powered back up ... and it just said  "Can't find NTP time".
wouldnt connect to internet  ...then there was another ATM1 PPP event and it would then connect ..Router stats are now .
ADSL
  Type  Interleave Path
  Status  SHOWTIME
    Downstream  Upstream
  Data rate(Kbps)  7785 888
  Noise Margin  5 11
  Output power(dBm)  12 20
  Attenuation(dB)  43 25

from bt speedtest i now get

0 Mbps 0.83 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.82Mbps

Re: Could some please look at my profile ?

I wouldn't worry about the "Can't find NTP time" as this would not effect your service and is only used by your router to set the time.
How is you WAN connection? Is it working?
Your line is currently performing how it should be.
Let me know how you get on.
