Connection keeps dropping every 30 seconds or so Please help if you can?

Hi all
I hope someone can help if I'm using P2P downloads like Uttorent my connection keeps dropping to 0 about every 20 to 30 secs for about ten secs then starts up again does anyone have a clue what could be causing this and where I could start to look?
Any help really appreciated...

it depends on the time of day and the package you are on,  see here http://www.kitz.co.uk/isp/plusnet_shaping.htm not these are the max likely and p2p cane grind down to virtual zero at times as it is rated not speed sensitive

We're not seeing a large amount of connection drops on your line, certainly not for the timescales you're showing.
As Pierre says, what times of day is this happening? Does it happen with any other applications at all? Are you using a well seeded post?
