Re: Connection issues

It'll likely be above, I set it to 7150 so no matter what speed it settles to it won't be slowed down - but the prioritisation won't work, so if anything seems oddly slow that'll be why. It'll sort itself out when our side updates, but please let us know if it doesn't.

Re: Connection issues

Yep that's worked and if it goes slow again I'll try that out but fingers crossed it doesn't.
Many thanks.

Re: Connection issues

I'm afraid the profiles are correctly matching at 1500 across both ours and BTs sides, and there's no mismatch on the profiles at the exchange. I'm afraid the only thing that we can really do from here is investigate this as a fault, so please raise it to us via the troubleshooter at http://faults.plus.net - that'll take you through the necessary checks and raise a ticket to our faults team, who'll get this sorted for you.
Hope that helps.

Re: Connection issues

DownStream Connection Speed 1536 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed 704 kbps
BT test
Download  Speed
1.22 Mbps

0 Mbps 2 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.22 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.8 Mbps-2 Mbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :1.54 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.7 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 1.25 Mbps
Profile is still dropping.
I'll be honest every time I've gone through the faults ticket I've ended up with more problems afterwards so i would rather not bother or just cancel contract, this issue seems to happen every 2-3 months, sometimes it just goes away after a day other times it just keeps dropping for days.
I've brought over 4 routers (as that is what i am told is the problem) and many filters now and won't be doing it any more.
Thanks.

Re: Connection issues

Are you still connected to the the test socket? The noise on your line has crept up to 12dB.

Re: Connection issues

Nope i pulled out of that over 2 months ago and had 650 hours on the router just fine.
If i switch to the test socket it will still be the same.

Re: Connection issues

Just trying to establish what has caused the noise to increase, if you could pop it in there and I'll check again.

Re: Connection issues

There's not to much improvement so far, are you able to keep it in your test socket. Your line is still in it's training period for the next 4 days so we'll get a better picture at the end of that.
It may be that a fault needs rasining, I'm happy to oversee this if you're not overly confident about going down the fault route.

Re: Connection issues

I'll leave it in the test socket then to be sure and yes please the fault route has been a pain for me.
Although my speed has now gone to 900kb Sad
Thanks

Sorry to hear that. we needed to wait for you training period to end which was on the 13/14th.
I'm happy to take a look over things if you still require.
