Hi.
I recently changed from BT to Plusnet mainly because BT didn't want to help me at all.
I am using the test socket because If use the face-plate my download/up speed goes from 13Mbp/s to 3Mbp/s.
but the downside is when i'm using the test socket it works perfect until around 12:00 - 1am everynight. My internet connection becomes extremely unstable. (My ping spikes from 30ms to 1000+ ms)
I cannot use it basically and I mainly use the internet at night time.
I have found no fix for this and just keep restarting the router and hoping for the best.
Here is information on my router
Thanks
Ethan

Hi there,
It looks like the connection has been dropping intermittently over the past few days but not necessarily during the hours you've mentioned so the factors you've mentioned plus that could well point towards a fault.
Given that you're experiencing issues at a specific time such things can often be related to interference caused by electrical devices that use a timer so does that ring any bells?
I'd advise raising a fault at http://faults.plus.net and that should pick up on any obvious issues as well as give you some steps to try eliminating an y possible causes for the fault on your side of things.

Hi
The only things are connected to the router at the a games console, 2 laptops, 1 tablet and 2 phones.
All of these do not effect the internet during the day time but as soon it hits 12 - 1 am the internet becomes extremely unstable and unable to use.
I think the nte5 socket needs to be replaced but you guys refused to do it.
Thanks
Ethan

Our faults team will check over your connection, if it is due to your nte5 socket then we need to get this replaced/fixed.
Our faults team will update you once they've tested your line.
