Hi,
I have posted my issues in the gaming forum, but as I am quite desperate to get this sorted asap, so I can enjoy my weekend downtime playing FIFA.
Recently, last week or so, my connection has become flaky, DNS timeouts, solved by using Google DNS, slow browing, even though I am synched at 23000, as I practically live next door to the exchange, can somebody from Plusnet or anyone who can help, look at the uotrace below and advice, what I need to do.
I am connected via ethernet to my home hub 3, and prior to these last few weeks, I had no real lag/latency issues which gaming or browsing.

Quote from: Xreyuk Have you tried gateway hopping?
Please elaborate?
Also I am somewhat dismayed that no one from Plusnet has had the courtesy to reply to this or my thread in the gaming forum, add to the un replied ticket and I am seriously contemplating a move away from Plusnet.

Hi bolt786,
I'm sorry that nobody got back to you on this, unfortunately we only man the forums one week days between 9am and 5:30pm and given the time you posted and how busy things were on the Friday due to the outages, I'm afraid this wasn't picked up on.
From looking at the details you posted it seems that you've hit a 511ms ping on the ag02 gateway which could well be the cause of the issue. Have you seen any improvement on this over the weekend?
If you need to have a look at hopping gateways, you can check which one you're connected to by checking here and then if you disconnect your connection from the router config page (you only need to drop the PPP session, no need to reboot the router) and then reconnect and check the gateway again to make sure you've hopped over to another one.
Hope this helps!
