Looks like you may be better off getting a new router by the sound of things.

If you end up having an engineer out and it turns out to be your router you'll be charged a very hefty fee for the call out. Can you not borrow one?

Yes your connectionis looking better. Your profile is now 3500 and our line is showing to be more stable. As for the fault we'll just have to wait and see.

I think it's more likely to be the upstairs extension than the exchange.

We have asked our wholesale broadband suppliers to turn interleaving on on your
phone line to try and fix your current broadband problem.
Interleaving is a form of error correction that helps to improve the stability
of high-speed broadband. One drawback of interleaving is that it can increase
ping times, which may cause problems for online gamers.
We think that turning on interleaving may help with your connection problems.
Interleaving usually takes 24 hours to turn on, but can take up to 5 days to
take effect.
If you are still seeing problems with interleaving switched on please get back
in touch with us. Thank you for your time and patience
I didnt do anything is this automatic? did they see my net go off and thought give him this interleaving thing?

when interleaving is set to auto this can then be switched on if deemed necessary without any orders being placed. Hopefully this will keep your line more stable now.
