You should try a single corded phone into the master socket (test socket is even better) next time this issue happens. Listen for a dial tone, if there's one there dial 17070 and do the quiet line test.
If you notice any problems with the phone line, report them to the phone provider and it's probably best not to mention broadband Wink

Ive reported a fault to plusnet and I will do what you've said next time it happens Chris. I'm with BT but i'm thinking about moving to Plusnet which should make things a little less awkward  Tongue

Have BT (your phone provider) fixed your PHONE line fault yet?
Is PN broadband now working properly again?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
