Connecting Plusnet TG582n to Fibre or cable modem.

Is there a version of the firmware for the Plusnet TG582n that would allow a PPPoE connection to a fibre modem? 
Similar to what is described on the Zen website here: http://support.zen.co.uk/kb/KnowledgebaseArticle.aspx?articleid=11307
Or configuration file that would enable this facility.
Similarly, is there a configuration file for a TG575v7 that does this?  I am sure that I saw one some time ago.

Yes, considering Plusnet ship the TG582n with a different firmware as their fibre router.

Do you happen to know if I can continue to use the adsl modem in the router after applying the patch?
I assume that it is port 4 (on the right as you look at the ports on the router) that does the PPoE?
I am running the 8.4.4.I firmware on my 582n. Do you know if there is a later, non PPPoE version?

I don't know which ethernet port becomes the WAN port, and I doubt the ADSL modem will be available.
As for newer firmware, various 10.X.Y.Z ADSL versions have been floating around being tested for some time:
