Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

Oh dear,. 'This Frame' isn't just above 'View page source' then  Sad
Well just use the url from the page where you are seeing the stats then  See if Get Source yields any information with the numbers in.

Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

I highlighted the 'noise margin' and right clicked. This bought up Inspect Element only. That opened Development Tools. There were some 'ms' numbers in that......
Today's speeds have been between 0.69 and 1.15. Currently 0.80.  Noise has been between 2.8 and 5.6

Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

Which of the Belkin options are you currently using, did you try the other?
What time of day (approx) did that low 0.69 speed occur?

Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

The 0.69 was just after 6 this morning.
I tried both belkin options but got the yellow triangle!  The 'do it yourself' got the ping working but no speed or noise.

Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

The ping is the easy bit to get working because it's a separate program that doesn't care where the stats actually are.
I think it's time to call it a day with RSL and this Belkin. I think the best thing tomorrow (daylight) would be would be to gracefully 'Disconnect' as previously explained and put the TG582n back on. When you have it on, post that you have, and we can ask Plusnet to push a firmware update to it. The only criteria is that it must be on, don't switch it off whilst the update is occurring (you'll see all the lights go off and behave as though it's rebooting) and it'll be best if no-one is using the connection at the time.
RSL is easy to set up for the TG582n.

Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

Not looking too bad at present (apart from one drop). That sync speed would eventually put you in the next profile band up, but there will be a drop when the firmware is done anyway.
Well see if we can get the 10.2.2.B firmware pushed.

Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

Firmware update on the way. Should be around 5-10 minutes in total, so please don't restart your router.

Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

If you can log into the 582n, selecting 5.4 Advanced options at the bottom of the page and then on the LH menu, go to >Technicolor Gateway >Information and post up the info, just to check the Firmware upgrade and can you also do a ping to ntp.plus.net at the command prompt.
The time-outs here could be due to the forum, others are getting strange problems including myself.
