Evening all. This morning I was switched from Value to Premium and even though I'm on a nice long line (previously getting about 1.3Mbps on normal ADSL max) I was expecting at least a little bit of a boost after the move! Thing is I check my router (an unlocked 2Wire 2700HG) stats and get this:
Protocol: G.DMT Annex A
Downstream Rate: 1632 kbps
Upstream Rate: 448 kbps
Channel: Interleaved
Current Noise Margin: 9.0 dB (Downstream) 16.0 dB (Upstream)
Current Attenuation: 63.0 dB (Downstream) 31.5 dB (Upstream)
Current Output Power: 16.6 dBm (Downstream) 11.9 dBm (Upstream)
DSLAM Vendor Information: Country: {0x0F} Vendor: {ALCB} Specific: {0x00}
PVC Info: 0/38
Now the bit I'm not sure of is the protocol reading G.DMT Annex A. From what I've read this is standard ADSL......so is my router messing about or have I missed something fairly major somewhere?!?!
Thoughts/comments/solutions(!)

I'm pretty sure G.DMT Annex A *is* ADSL.
My connection stats show some G.DMT framing and ADSL2 framing.
I'm on a plain ADSL Max solution, definitely not ADSL2, and I get:

Welcome to the Forums lwhitworth
I think it takes more than a couple of hours to switch over, also not sure but dont think you will notice much change on that line

Hi Luke and welcome to the forums.
Your switch to ADSL2+ takes 5 days after your product is changed (so will be done by this time next week).
I'm not sure you'll see much improvement with those stats though.

Cheers for the reply folks, this is a very handy customer resource!
TBH I'm not expecting a huge increase, but as a certain supermarket says, every little helps
