Hi all.
Like many posts i have read i am turning to the forum for connection help and advise,(after falling at the first jump with the faults help ticket thing)
Well first off is the Connection problem.: intermittent.
The router light that indicates 'internet' is ON yet i can not browse the web.
Things i have noticed whilst unable to browse are:
I can connect to and log into the router.
I am unable to attain an external IP on all computers.(wired and wireless)
Routerstats continues to monitor the values.
Very low line errors reported by routerstats .(during and after the problem)
Also there is No re sync or connection drop then suddenly i am able to attain an IP and continue browsing.
This can last up to 15 minutes before correcting itself.
My connection speed for the last year has been around 3-4 meg and has interleaving turned OFF .(keen PS3 er).
So far i have been advised to turn interleaving On.
If someone has any idea whats going on and can help i would be very grateful , and thanks in advance .
PN help support please read the response tickets u get as not one of mine have been answered.

which router are you using
edit - seeing the last post I had it with my Netgear DG834G v4 (same chipset as a GT) and it was fixed with a firmware upgrade

I had a very strange problem a while back which sounded similar.
Turning interleaving back on made everything work OK.
After a while (day or so) I turned it off and all was well.
I can only assume it was a level of interference that didn't cause a resync but did cause a lot of errors fixable by interleaving. Whatever it was it was only temporary.
Netgear DG834GT by the way.

PN, i have now got two open tickets both telling me that interleaving is to be switched on ( ticket 31408588,,31293018) .
Once again i have not asked for interleaving to be switched ON !. My interleaving status said it was ON so i turned it OFF.I was then warned there was not an option to turn it back on again. So how u have taken that as a request to turn interleaving ON i do not know.
The attached is what i have noticed recently on routerstats.
Also:Rate (Kbps): 4096 448
SNR Margin (dB): 15.1 25.0
Attenuation (dB): 45.0 25.0
Output Power (dBm): 11.9 19.7
I have noticed my Attenuation has changed from down:44.0 and Up:24
not sure if that is relevant.

Hi there,
Unfortunately because the fault ticket is still open our system is still submitting automated orders for the interleaving - we do this simply because it can prevent a lot of faults. The order is due to complete tomorrow so I can cancel that for you (interleaving is off at the moment and will remain so if I cancel the order). If I send you the fault ticket back it should also stop these order requests, though if it's sent back to us the system will place another order I'm afraid.
If the connection is still unstable however it may be wise to try interleaving briefly to see if this fixes things, we can then remove it for you later on should you wish as per HPsauce's post above.
Please let me know, thanks.

Internet errors diagnosis is a little beyond me but these are from routerstats.
Do they show interleaving would be useful at this time?
