Close my account when current contract ends

My current contract for broadband ends on September 4th.

Please close my account at this time, I do not want to roll on to any other service

I've been on hold two times, both times I've got through to an advisor they've transferred me, and after 35 minutes the line has cut out. This seems to be deliberately obstructive.

All the best,

Lewis

Re: Close my account when current contract ends

There's absolutely no chance that Plusnet will accept an instruction published on a public forum.

Read the contract and follow the cancellation instructions. I believe that you can write to Plusnet and send it by snail mail.

Re: Close my account when current contract ends

Hey @lewisbackon,

Thanks for reaching out over our forums.

@Baldrick1 is correct there, we wouldn't accept this as your cancellation request, you'll need to contact our Customer Options team on 0800 013 2632 who are open during the below hours:

Monday - Friday: 8:00 - 20:00

Saturday: 9:00 - 19:00

Sunday: 9:00 - 18:00

Currently they have a 12 minute wait, however, you'll find it goes down around 18:00.

Or you can write in to us at:

Plusnet, The Balance,

2 PInfold Street,

Sheffield

S1 2GU

You'll need to include your account username and/or full address with postcode and confirm which date you would like to cancel your services on.

Thanks.
