Hi all,
I've just been 'upgraded' to the 21CN trail and noticed that my Cisco 877 didn't connect using adsl2+ (ITU G.992.5 A) but it does over adsl2 (ITU G.992.3 A).
Actually, when using adsl2+ it does get a line sync of 22 Mbit, but no IP and there's no communication over that connection.
Using adsl2 it 'only' gets a sync of 11 Mbit, but at least it works.
Now I've also got an old Netgear laying around that did connect (and communicates) with sync of 22Mbit.
Has anyone seen this as well? And is there something I can do about this?
Thanks

Might be an idea to reflash the firmware.
We've seen a few examples where this has caused IP to start working.

Thanks James
I dont have the firmware at hand here, but needed to get a smartnet for this unit anyway so I'll need to get that first.

Hi James,
Sorry for the delay but I finally managed to get my smartnets registered with Cisco and upgraded my firmware.
Now I can indeed connect using adsl2+ which I couldn't before, but the sync speed is still a lot lower then with my Netgear.
With the cisco I get 9Mbit down whereas the Netgear gives me 22Mbit sync.
I know cisco's generally sync at a lower rate, but wasn't expecting such a huge difference.
Do you you any more things I could try to get this to sync at a higher rate?

It's not a device I'm familiar with I'm afraid.
I also wouldn't expect to see that much of a difference.
