Changed to Premium...thought I would get improved speed...was consistently getting 6500kbps now getting 1800 kbps...I am only half a mile from exchange in Birmingham
The speed drop started on the day of the changeover...cannot be coincidence..same thing happend when moved from Max to LLU and back again.
I restarted my router several times in the hope that it would connect at a better speed?...mistake...Plusnet thinks the restarts are disconnections!
I know there is nothing wrong with MY setup.
Fed up...just want things to work and an explaination not spend ages doing pointless tests over and over.
My router reports I am connected at over 8000kbps but all speed tests are around 1800kbps mark.
I now I am moaning...just frustration.

What does https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=stable_rate say for your current line speed?

@halfchan, try disconnecting and reconnecting, you speed profile was set incorrectly at this side (sorry about that!)

Thanks Bob, that worked. Thanks guys for your other suggestions on finding a solution. B ack up to 6500kbps now...was hoping for better speed but I should count my blessings! lol
