Re: Capable of higher speed but not sustained.

Yes, picture would be good, and in that case maybe some other pics later on, but I'll be specific about that later.
You can put the back plate back on the box if you haven't already, stay plugged into the test socket for the moment.
Uploading pictures, or any attachment is easy. If you use the Reply button immediately below the last post rather than the Quick Reply box, there is a button + Additional Options and Attachment.. click on that and there is a box to browse to the file saved on your computer. That same button will also appear if you do a Preview of your post having used the Quick Reply option. You can also edit a post and amend it or add corrections or attachments if you forgot something by using the 'Modify' button just above the post.
Re: iPlayer, Bullet suggested downloading some programmes to do a test, but I pointed out that uses lots of usage allowance. If you click on the link I gave, you'll see how useful it is!
In your next post can you also post the current ADSL modem/router line stats, don't need any other tests at this moment.

Re: Capable of higher speed but not sustained.

Wires look promising, more on that later.
Latest stats not too bad. I'm hoping Jojo will come and kick your Current line speed shortly, but I know she's up to her neck in it!
Will that splitter plug into the filter, so that you can connect both phones?

Re: Capable of higher speed but not sustained.

ah splitter plug thats what its called is it.  Cool  Yep...thats the only thing thats ever been connected to the socket apart from the router.... A cable leads to my room where a phone connects to the cable drum. I got fed up of buying different lengths of extension lead and a drum seemed the best solution.

If you've got both phones connected to the filter, could you post another set of Modem/router stats please?
