Cannot access Gmail

Since last night, I've been unable to access Google's Gmail (mail.google.com) in any browser on any of my PC's.

In SeaMonkey (my main browser, based upon Mozilla) I get this:
Address Not Found
mail.google.com could not be found. Please check the name and try again.

Mozilla Firefox gives me this:
Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at mail.google.com

Google Chrome says this:
This web page is not available
The server at mail.google.com can't be found because the DNS look-up failed.

IE says this:
This page can’t be displayed
•Make sure that the web address http://mail.google.com is correct.
•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes.

I can load up Gmail on my Android phone using the mobile data connection, so Gmail itself isn't down,
but I am still unable to access Gmail in any browser on my Plusnet broadband connection. Even after
rebooting my Plusnet router, everything else is still accessible, but Gmail is not.
What gives?
Huh

Re: Cannot access Gmail

Hi DJGM1974,
I've moved your post here as it's more of an access issue than an email issue.

Re: Cannot access Gmail

Do you know what time this started happening from?
Are you also able to check what you DNS server address is set to?
You can find this by opening a command prompt and running 'nslookup google.com'

Re: Cannot access Gmail

I am aware of this problem starting at about 23:30-ish last night
My DNS is set to route through my server 192.168.1.4 and the alternate DNS is 192.168.1.1. Not quite the default setup I know,
but it's the way my entire network is configured, and has worked perfectly well until now. I've had to temporarily set the network
settings on my PC to route thru Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) to regain access to Gmail on this machine.

Re: Cannot access Gmail

So if you have the default DNS server in(which I assume is Plusnet's) you still can't access Gmail?
