Can't send e mails this morning

Relay.plus.net not letting O Exp send e mails this morning.
Can receive OK; am in Berkshire; anyone else having grief?
Fortunately yahoo letting me send through there, but know number per day is limited with them.
Have raised ticket, but shows 3.5 hour delay at moment
** 3 hours later and still waiting**
Tried the telnet test as on self help pages (running XP) and it's not responding so something is blocking I assume.

Over 4 hours and ticket still not answered; shame on you + Net.

I've just bounced the ticket back to you with another suggestion. You might want to try temporarily disabling any security software you might have installed. Failing that I'd try deleting and recreating your mail accounts in Outlook Express. Delete any messages you have saved in the Outbox too before trying again.

Can't send e mails:
Problem back again; can receive OK, and send on my Yahoo Port 465 OK, but not on plus net,
or other a/c's using Port 25 :-X.
No settings changed since last used?
Any suggestions valued

No changes made in O Express, but suddenly can send!

When you are sending the email are you usin a PN connection?  The error it's returning seem to suggest that you are not. When using a non PN connection you have to use SMTP authentication.

Yes I am using +Net;
now on different laptop, using same router & Thunderbird;they go through fine from this one.

You might have a gremlin in the OE account. Did you delete and recreate it when it was suggested before - if not I should try that now and see if the problem crops up again.

Yes last time did delete and create one a/c in O Express; this time got better without intervention
on my part.
