Can't get BBC radio live iPlayer live feeds locally via PlusNet

Gave up - installed real player alternative - at least I can listen to radio live

I have WM 11 on XP, but the streams won't play in (most importantly) SlimCenter either.
The Real streams are not as good quality unfortunately (plus I have an almost pathological dislike for the Real Corporation).

Both radio4 & radio3 OK here (WinXP SP2; Opera browser) and open Windows Media player. I didn't try the others.

I know it's a bit of a long time after the OP, but all work here, and that's on an ancient - WMP 9  !!

WMP 9 and Firefox 3.0.7 and all I get is a white page when clicking any of the links.

This gets bizarrer. I've installed the Foobar2000 mms dll so can now play ASX playlists with this player too. It seems that the only ASX playlists I have a problem with are these BBC ones and that it is my computer that has a problem, not the four players I've tried
I am beginning to suspect Windows Media Player 11...  however, I could understand that a codec may be corrupted if no ASX streams were capable of being played at all... but just the BBC ones?
Maybe I'll just have to put up with the horribly inferior and squishy Real streams after all.  😞

I can either double click on the link, or if I open WMP9 it defaults to WindowsMedia.com and then I tell it to open any of the url's, it works fine. (Sell you an old computer Bob?  ).

Could try an uninstall and re-install, see if that helps.
