Can someone raise my profile please....

Hi,
I've had variousissues with my BB over the last month or so and eventually it was put down to a fault at the exchange. BT transfered my line which I was told would hopefully cure the problem. Since this was done I have rebooted myrouter and carried out various speed tests at different times of the day, all of which come in at just shy of 1.9 Mbps. They are very consistent which makes me think it is my profile which is capping the speed (best achieved speed before the move was circa 6.5 Mbps). Can someone have a quick look and raise it up to where it needs to be please. Really hoping this cures my problems and I can get the speeds I know are achieveable as I am only about 200 yards from the exchange.
I have asked for this to be done on my ticket but that was yesterday and I haven't heard anything yet.....
Many thanks
Mick.

Re: Can someone raise my profile please....

What is the IP profile, as shown by the BT Speed tester?
What is your Current line speed according to Plusnet?
And the line rate and noise margin as reported by your router?

Re: Can someone raise my profile please....

Hi there,
It looks like both BT and Plusnet profiles are showing as 7150, are you not seeing similar speeds?

Re: Can someone raise my profile please....

Hi Matt,
As per my original post, every test I have done since the switch is showing 1.9 mbps and they are all extremely close to one another. This is backed up by YouTube / iPlayer etc also being slow. This it what lead me to the assumption that my profile was set to a slow speed. Once I'd had confirmation that my line had been swapped I ran a test (1.9 mbps) re-started my router and ran a second test (again 1.9 mbps).
Thanks mick.

Re: Can someone raise my profile please....

Right, line profile mismatch is shown on a line test so I've just requested an SNR reset. That _should_ reset it all at the exchange and get it working (you'll know within a couple of hours if it has) - if not please let us know and we'll get on it for you.

Re: Can someone raise my profile please....

Thanks Matt. Just checked and speed is as before, 1.9 mbps. Do I need to restart my router or will that just mess things up?

Re: Can someone raise my profile please....

Unfortunately you wont see any change. Several of us today had promises of having our profile mismatches corrected. (This is also known as a consistency fail)
Plusnet have been having issues for some time trying to overcome this problem.
Today was the fourth tme they tried to correct my mismatch but they have failed every time.
There is no chance this will be looked at again by plusnet before monday now.
If you look at my thread under feedback you will get an idea of the sort of problems we are all facing!

Since you are so close to the exchange I doubt restarting the router will prod anything into action, but trying should not cause problems. However I suggest doing this during the day.

Re: Can someone raise my profile please....

That looks to be consistent with profile settings of 7150kbps. Smiley

I'm glad someone has managed to get their IP Profile mismatch sorted. Still no luck here, stuck at 1500! Come on Plusnet get this sorted out please.
