Can someone from Plusnet please check my DD progress?

Can someone from Plusnet please help?
I’m being warned that my credit card expires tomorrow.  I was well aware of this.  I decided to setup a DD payment instead of CC.  I did this on the 24th.  I haven’t heard anything since.
I’ve just checked my account details and it still says “awaiting activation” Our Reference PNET1122707.
My credit card expires tomorrow and I don’t want to get into trouble (again).

It'll probably activate tomorrow - I'll check it then if you want to give me a shout?
Take it you don't have a replacement card you can use in the meantime?

Yes, I have two replacement cards.  One of them being the card that replaces the expiring card.  I just wanted to change to DD and thought it was the appropriate time to do it.
Is that OK?

There shouldn't be any problems, you're slap bang in the middle of your billing month so we won't be charging you for another fortnight. Having said that the DD hasn't yet gone active unfortunately, if this seems to be taking a while your best bet would be to chase it with your bank.

Jessica - If you add the details for one of your replacement cards just to be sure.
The DD payment will always supersede that of the card.

I contacted my back this morning.  They say they have had NO request from Plusnet to set up a DD payment.  What now?

You can add your replacement card regardless of whether or not you have a DDI set up.
If you would like me to, I can cancel the existing request and resubmit it.

I'll contact my bank again now.  Perhaps they have more info for me.  They had nothing this morning.  One question, who will notify me, the bank or Plusnet?  The bank only has my phone number.  They don't have my email address.

I applied to switch to Plusnet on Monday (28 Sept) and the Direct Debit is now showing in my bank account.
Only problem there are 2 DD's showing, hope they don't take my payments from both of them!

Looks like the request got submitted twice.  I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Could be that the one set up over the phone contained a minor error which I corrected in "my account details" after I received the initial email asking me to check them. It did say that the orginal one would be deleted!
I will watch & see which one is used to collect my first payment & then cancel the other one.

I just checked with HSBC online banking service.  I found this:

Not familiar with HSBC online banking but I would say that the DD has been set up. The reference number is in the same format as mine.

That looks like the Direct Debit Instruction that your bank said that we hadn't sent Wink
It's showing as being active at our end too.
