Your connection rate matches what your ip profile should be

My router says the SNR is 14.9 it is always around 15 so I thought my connection rate should be higher.
It also say the max is "Max(Kbps): 6236" and I am only getting half of that.

The SNRM of around 15dB is rather high as the default set by the DSLAM is usually around 6dB so there must be a noise issue on your line.
If that issue isn't permanent on your line then over the next 14 days or so (without any resyncs happening) the 15dB might end up near the 6dB figure which should allow for a higher sync rate and in turn faster speeds some of the time

The higher the SNR is, the lower the sync rate will be - however your SNR will only lower if the exchange equipment deems the line stable enough (unless you have a router capable of setting the SNR value itself).
EDIT: too slow, apparently

I am capable of setting the SNR value using telnet, I am not sure if I want to do that just yet though (I don't know what effect it will have). Is there any programs around that will monitor how much noise I have on the line? Then I can leave it running and capture data and if there is not a lot of noise change it myself.
