Can anyone recommend a new router please??????

I just recently got fibre optic broadband from Plusnet and have the standard TG582n router, I should be getting speeds of up to 71mbps but instead i get anything from 0.23mbps (yes this is correct) to 52mbps although it is usually around the 10mbps, i should be getting a lot more and i think this may be because of the router, can anyone please recommend a new router model that can handle up to 71mbps with a good signal range?
I have run speed tests with thinkbroadband and bt speedtester on 3 different pc's and with thinkbroand tests the speeds are always very varied but usually low yet with bt speed tester they were high - always around 60mbps
However internet speeds do not feel as fast as bt sppedtester makes out

Are those speed results wired or wireless

I do think the problem is wireless yet because we have tested on different machines this leads me to believe that it is the router at fault
