Quote Dear Mr Cxxxxxxx,
kscott@pvs-csctools:~$ nslookup 212.159.xx.xxx
Server: 212.159.6.9
Address: 212.159.6.9#53
Non-authoritative answer:
xxx.xx.159.212.in-addr.arpa name = xxxxxxxxx.plus.com.
The A record for the IP has not yet updated.
Have asked PN CS to change the rDNS for my static IP and got the above response. Have asked CS what the above means but still waiting 10 hours later. So can any of the Comms team explain what the above mean. Do I have to do anything or just wait for the servers to update?

Based on my experience (see http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php?topic=182.0) you could be waiting a while for this to be resolved.
I understand a process is being worked on that will update rDNS records automatically.

I presume that what the response is saying is that you have not yet added a forward A records to the rDNS update you are trying to acheive.
e.g. if you wanted your rDNS to be router.domain.com then domain.com would need an A record for router forwarded to your static IP.
Does that make sense?

Yes it make sense and the forward IP for my domain has not be set. That's the reason that I changed to a sub domain which has had a forward IP address for the last year or so. See ticket 22531382

Hi there,
Apologies for the confusion. I've changed your rDNS record now as requested.
