CONSTANT Packet loss

Hi plusnet people  Smiley  are these graphs normal, with all them little red dots at the top?
I was checking the other thread with everyone else's ping graphs and none of them are like mine with the packet loss.
could this be affecting my online gaming too?
my MTU value is 1492 as that is the highest before it gets fragmented.
im on unlimited 21c ADSL with the Pro add on (well so they say)
im on gateway known as ptn-ag04 at the mo but was like that on different gateways too.

Thx

Re: Packet loss

You shouldn't really be getting consistent packet loss.
Do you notice any problems with your connection or is it just in the graphs?

Re: Packet loss

I'd report it as a fault.
Just to check though - when gaming are you using your connection for other things like torrents at the same time? As this will also cause lag.

Re: CONSTANT Packet loss

Hi there,
Just checked and while Interleaving has been set to Auto since the line was provided it's still showing as being on Fastpath (at least, as of the latest update which was yesterday). Is the router reporting that it's now on? We can turn it off if you like, but bear in mind if the line is at all unstable it'll likely get worse without interleaving being on. Please let us know.

Re: CONSTANT Packet loss

The red downward spikes correspond exactly to when you've been disconnected for short periods, are these when you are manually disconnecting the router or are you not aware of these connection drops?

Re: CONSTANT Packet loss

It went off last night and at 12 today. The other 1'swas me trying to figure out why my ping has gone up and yes it is showing as 8ms delay on interleaving.
I will keep it like this for now and get back to you if it has made my gaming  better or  worse, cause when It was on fastpath and it was performing well it was amazing but sometimes It was getting delays which im guessing all them red lines was losing packets
