Re: Broadband speed issue - router thinks it's fine(!) Anyone else seeing this?

Ok - after realising that FEC / HEC / CRC   was nothing to do with BAK / SAK & CRAK .... I hit the interwebs to try and decypher the TLA conundrum.
After hours and hours of searching (about 30mins really) I finally stumbled upon a thread that showed a tool that could get these mystical stats.
In case anyone else is new to this type of diagnosis and doesn't have a clue about the terminology ... check this link: http://vwlowen.m3ezw.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=398

So, app installed and even did the hoopy telnet mod to access the advanced stats.

Re: Broadband speed issue - router thinks it's fine(!) Anyone else seeing this?

I took both my old DG834PN and new DGND3700v2 to my dad's house tonight (he uses PN too) and tested them there.
His line speed is 3-3.5Mb and I was getting that no problem with both of the routers ... using my own microfilter, RJ11 etc.
I kind of knew this would be the case, but this proves that the hardware that I have is fine.
The BT engineer said the line was clean (and I hear no artifacts on the phone) so logically it must be either the exchange or there's some policy restricting my account.  Angry

I can see that your Fault Ticket is back with our Faults Team. They will be in touch once their further investigation has been completed.
