Broadband speed and quality issue

Our speed dropped significantly (~1mbps) mid last week and latency tests show horrendous peaks.
A test last night on BTSPEEDTEST gives the following result.  "For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-2 Mbps", against a theoretical max of 8mbps and previous typical of 7 mbps. Does the profile need resetting?
Please help, this is taking too long via the normal support route (Question #76196623, raised last Wednesday)

Latest BTSPEEDTEST says IP profile is 1.25 mbps. Can we get it reset?

I can see that we've placed a SNR reset on your line yesterday afternoon, has this improved things for you?
